Typically crafted from Duplex 2205 stainless steel, Duplex Ball Valves feature a well-balanced microstructure of austenite and ferrite. This alloy comprises about 22% chromium, 5–6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and nitrogen, providing outstanding mechanical strength (with tensile strength ranging from 620 to 880 MPa) and excellent resistance to corrosion. These valves effectively combat stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, especially in chloride-rich settings. The duplex structure enhances fatigue resistance and ensures the material remains stable under varying pressure and temperature conditions.
